Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

We know plans change, and life doesn't always cooperate with a calendar. This policy exists because when a mediation date is set, that time is reserved for you — and reserving it means turning other cases away. We'd rather be upfront about how that works than surprise anyone later.

Plenty of Notice

If you need to reschedule or cancel and let us know 5 or more business days before your mediation date, there's no fee at all. Just reach out as soon as you know, and we'll find a new time that works.

The further ahead we know, the easier it is for us to open that slot back up for someone else who needs it.

Closer to the Date

When a cancellation happens inside that 5-business-day window, we're often not able to fill the time on short notice — which is where a fee comes in, applied per party involved in the session:

Half-Day Session PER PARTY
$100
Full-Day Session PER PARTY
$175
If you reschedule that same mediation to a new date, no fee applies — this only comes into play if the rescheduled date is cancelled a second time.

Questions

If something comes up and you're not sure how this applies to your situation, just reach out — we're happy to talk it through. Contact us at john@optionsmediation.com.
